I’m Liessa, author, book-lover, and a sucker for a good story!

Since childhood, stories have been a part of me. May it be memories of lying on a blanket in the sunshine with my dad, listening to audiobooks (The Three Exclamation Marks and Elena Eluanda being a few of my favourites) or family movie nights, which were spent mostly discussing what movie to watch.

Even as I became older and the stories became more nuanced, the topics of adulthood, life, and death becoming harder to discuss and even harder to stomach, I’ve never lost my love for them.
In stories, I want to understand life, other people, and myself, especially why it is that nothing can occupy my mind and take over my soul and heart more than a good story can.

So this is for all the people who recognize themselves on the pages of a book and feel this sliver of understanding pass between two people who have never met, but are connected nonetheless: The writer and the reader. This is for you, for me, for us.
